DESCRIPTION:
Ephraim Downes, Bristol Con., 30-hour time & bell strike pillar & scroll shelf clock, mahogany veneer, C.1830.
CONDITION:
Beautifully restored case with intact feet and scrolls, and nicely made wood pulley covers. Lower reverse-painted table is a good recent repaint. Very good complete paper label (minor stains) and painted wood dial with gilt gesso trim. Two light hollow brass finials, one newer solid one to match. Movement complete, will tick and strike but needs cleaning of gummy bearings that have been brass-bushed. Ht.32" to finial top.
